I just wore this for the first time on a run. This is the reason I purchased the item. It was great, warm and breathable. Only negative was the hood portion was loose and large with no way to get tight around head and lower face. This made my face and head feel the cold. It’s 27 degrees this morning so it was a little cold on my face. But this beats wearing a face cover.

I ordered an XL Brush-colored top to replace my normal mid-layer level II fleece. The fleece does run snug, so add a size up and realize it's made to fit moderate to lean guys. The fleece kept me warm as a part of a layered system when I wore it in Europe and SW Texas. I would highly recommend the fleece for light to moderate activities. I also recommend it for guys who can't wear headgear on flight lines etc., because you can use the hood to keep your head warm. Lastly, I wore the fleece with the hood tucked in and the fleece blended it with no comment from my more conventional-thinking bosses.

I bought the green hoodie in XL and it ended up fitting like a large, tight through the shoulders, chest and arms. It's still usable but a little tight for my liking. I liked the design and feel so much that I bought an XXL in brown and used both for my deer and elk hunts this year, even the muzzleloader elk hunt in November. They work great as a layer or depending on temps, as a stand alone layer. I paired them with the lightweight merino layer that mtn ops offers and due to the hoodie that both layers have, I never used a beanie, just used both hoods or the merino hood to help control my temp while hiking.

This is an awesome mid layer for midseason hunts! I wasn't too sure about the "scuba" hood, but I sure was glad to have it when the cold wind picked up on an elk hunt! I absolutely recommend it for your layering system or on its own. Great job MTN OPS!

The fleece is fantastic, if it fits you. I am an XXL in normal clothing (and Mt. Ops T Shirts) for super wide shoulders and chest. Do yourself a favor and order one size larger. If you normally wear an XXL this will most likely not fit. The fleece itself is FANTSTIC, no not hesitate to buy it. Just wish it fit.

Great material and design, just wish it had thumb holes and was tighter around the abs. Other than that it's awesome it works for moderate temps and much colder weather as well. Definitely will be my go to hoodie for recurve archery and hiking.
