“On taking the sheets out of their packaging, they had a very strong and unpleasant odour. So far, I've machine washed the sheets twice and they still smell. They are now air/line drying to see if that helps however I suspect I will need to wash them again. They left an odour in the washing machine too and on other items I washed with the sheets. I've never had this issue before when buying linen and I wouldn't expect it on a $50 fitted sheet. It makes me question what harsh chemicals may have been used on these sheets to cause such an odour.”
