“It definitely helps but I have to steam for 15+ mins to feel any results. This means that I go through water refills very quickly. I wasn't quite ready to commit to a water subscription so I bought some spare refills off of eBay from someone who stopped using their Mypurmist.
The negatives I experience with this device are: 1) It's much louder than expected, my family doesn't want me using this while watching TV with them because it distracts them. 2) Not enough steam, I feel like I have to breathe in really hard to get the little steam there is into my sinuses. 3) I don't notice any difference in the temp settings 4) If the reservoir runs out of water while using it there is a strong burning plastic smell. 5) The box and everything smelled pretty strongly of essential oils, which I'm sensitive to.
Pros: 1) Self-Cleaning: This is the best feature, and why I avoid traditional humidifiers. 2) The nose mask is very comfortable 3) I have experienced some sinus/respiratory relief 4) Long cord makes it easy to do other activities while using.”
