Our Prevent Anti-Aging Face Oil is a lightweight oil that is formulated to absorb quickly into the skin. I’d love to understand more about what’s happening so I can help. We typically suggest applying your skincare routine from thinnest to thickest, in this order: 1) Cleanser, 2) Serum, 3) Eye Cream, 4) Face Cream, 5) Face Oil. With Prevent, we recommend applying 4-7 drops. Allow the oil to fully absorb for 3-4 minutes, and then apply SPF or makeup, if you’re wearing any. Some customers like to use less oil depending on how much moisture their face needs. Another approach many of our customers enjoy is to add a few drops of Prevent to their face cream, blend together, and apply as one. Nourish Active Barrier Cream is our lightweight, everyday moisturizer, and it blends beautifully with Prevent. If you haven’t tried it yet, it’s available in Deluxe Mini so you can test-drive before fully committing. One last thought! If you’d like to try a different oil altogether, our Detox Balancing Face Oil is slightly thinner and might be a better fit for you. I completely understand that a face oil can feel like just a bit too much moisture, so I have some options for you! First, you can reduce the amount of oil you use each time. Even 1-2 drops can help hydrate skin and give you a lovely golden hour glow. If that still feels like too much, another option might be to add a drop or two to your moisturizer and mix it around before massaging onto skin. This method gives skin a dewy, healthy look that you might love. Of course, face oils are not for everyone so it’s completely fine too if these options don’t work for your particular skin.
