Hi Lori! 👋 Thank you so much for your kind words! We're so happy to hear you're enjoying the feel and absorption of Renew—it means a lot to us! - Joy 💕
“I'm still deciding my opinion on this. It feels good going on, but seems a little tight and slightly sticky after it dries. I immediately put the restorative face oil on afterwards, so that helps”
Hi Lauren! 👋 Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. I’ll certainly share this with the team. As you know, Renew Resurfacing Night Serum is made with Hyaluronic Acid. Hyaluronic Acid is a humectant that naturally occurs in our bodies. This serum is water-based and designed to sink into the skin to address issues down deep. Once Renew has fully absorbed, it's possible for the skin to feel a little dry on the surface. I think it might be more helpful to think of skincare as a system. We recommend the following routine: 1) Cleanser, 2) Serum, 3) Eye Cream, 4) Face Cream, 5) Face Oil. Applying Renew after cleansing only addresses one area of your skin barrier in one way. As mentioned, our serums are humectants, meaning that they are formulated to increase hydration. For this reason, we recommend layering moisture on top of the serum (as you did). Our creams are emollients, meaning that they are designed to help skin feel smooth and soft. Our face oils are occlusives, meaning that they're designed to create a barrier on the skin to keep moisture in (and environmental aggressors like pollution out). So, while Renew is designed to deliver one type of hydration (deep down), we recommend layering moisture to help your skin look and feel its best. I hope this answers your question! Please let me know if there's anything else I can help with. I hope this helps, but if you need anything else, please feel free to email us at hello@nakedandthriving.com or send a chat. - Joy 💕
“I loved the serum. It felt great on my face and seemed like it made a difference in the tone. The only issue I had was after using a couple of weeks I started noticing clogged pores on my nose so I decided to stop using it.”
Hi Sharon! 👋 Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. I’ll certainly share this with the team. Renew is water-based and non-comedogenic, meaning that it's designed to not clog pores and is suitable for most skin types. In addition, Renew contains Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA’s), which are known to cleanse and unblock pores. To get the most out of your skincare, proper use is key, so I'll share a few tips about how to use Renew here. We suggest applying your skincare routine from thinnest to thickest, in this order: 1) Cleanser, 2) Serum, 3) Eye Cream, 4) Face Cream, 5) Face Oil. With Renew, we recommend using this serum only at night and not simultaneously with any retinol products. This is because AHAs can be sensitizing when combined with retinol products or other skincare with active ingredients. As mentioned on Renew’s packaging and our website, AHAs are also known to increase sun sensitivity, so we recommend wearing SPF while using Renew. I hope this helps, but if you need anything else, please feel free to email us at hello@nakedandthriving.com or send a chat. - Joy 💕
