The open transition switch disconnects the current power source before switching to the alternate power source. This automatic transfer switch has a 50-Amp rating. Five seconds (adjustable to 2 to 1500 seconds) after the power goes out, the RXG10EZA1W signals the generator to start. After a 5 second warmup, the transfer switch disconnects the utility source and connects the generator to the 10 circuits in the ATS. When utility power returns, the ATS waits to ensure it is stable before transferring back to the utility.
