This ball far exceeded my expectations! I was told it helps with posture alignment issues from sitting at a desk too long. And YES it totally does that. It helps keep some mobility too in my hips and waist where I can just move around sometimes so as not to be ‘stuck’ in the same position too long. My back ache from seated position has eased and generally it is a much more comfortable solution compared to an office desk. The back is there if you need it, I often just engage my core now and sit upright.

Read the description carefully before ordering this chair. It is a chair designed to support the ball when doing ball-based exercises. It is NOT a chair that you can use to sit at your desk while working. I found this out AFTER delivery and it is a pain to return as the box is so large. The assembled chair height is 22 inches (as stated in the description) so unless you are age 7 this will not be any use for sitting at your desk and working. I tried inserting a larger ball into the frame but it still did not raise me up enough and once you use a larger ball that means the back rest is low too so you get no support from that. The instruction leaflet cover has a picture of a woman using the chair at a desk but that must be a specially made item to fit this chair. I am returning mine as I wanted a chair that I could use when sitting for work - this is not that chair. It may be fine for exercise purposes but I do feel the description and instructions are misleading.

I bought one of these because I wanted to avoid the slouch factor. It was dead easy to put together, and you can adjust the seat for comfort by the amount of air you put into the ball. Tough construction but I managed to puncture the ball (which is a bespoke size????) but the vendor was more than helpful and came back to me within hours. I will be buying the leg extenders to give me a little more height but am more than happy with the item. Get one and try it, they are a big improvement on the usual office chair experience.

"Ive put love it as the concept is great. the product is well made and it is certainly a discussion piece. I was bought it for work as i suffer back aches and shoulder pains, hip pains etc. I found that it hurts the last bone of my spine (not sure how to spell it) you can sit on it for about an hour but then if you are a bad back sufferer i feel you need to get off it and on to a normal office chair. It was leant to a pregnant girl in the office and she loved it. a fitness fan used it but again was on and off it like i was. i have it with me again but i am still having many problems, but that could be down to me not the chair. The first time you sit on it it is comfortable for a while. the back sits on your lower back which is snug. can be a bit sweaty though as synthetic. :/ I am 5ft8 and it is not the ideal hight for me as my elbows are still not on the table. but that can be table hight too. I would recommend it as a fitness chair and a mix up but it is not the answer to all my body pain problems, nor has it been to the others who have tried it."
