“Not much in they way of reviews on these lights however I purchased 5x diffrent length bars for my boat. The red and white lights are are great and the dimmable function is a plus but they get way to hot for my liking over 60° before I shut them off for a while, even out in ventilation they get hot quickly. They are way hotter than other brands i have used in the past, I feel it's to risky to run them on my boat. Would suit other applications.”
G'day Shane! Apologies for the delay in responding. LED lights do produce heat, but we haven't had any feedback that they are any warmer than you'd expect. These are in a metal casing, which is IP67 rated and encapsulated in epoxy, which will reduce the heat dissipation. We personally use them for upwards of 6 hours on full brightness regularly, though, and I haven't noticed the heat, but I also don't have a need to touch the body itself, only the buttons (which don't get hot). If you're unhappy with the purchase, though, please contact me and I will pop through a refund for you. Thanks, Kathleen
“Great bit of kit. Good quality and looks smick.
Enables bright white if needed or bright red and everthing in between as it is dimmable. I can leave the master lighting switch on and turn the individual strip lights on and off which is handy as they are on opposite sides of the canopy on my ute.
Easy install with adheasive backing already applied, I added some small bolts and nylock nuts to add additional but probably not needed peace of mind.”
