“Radiator cap is made of galvanised or zincalum steel. Rust usually starts around the rivet in the center which appears to be S/Steel. The inner parts of the rad. Cap are S/Steel. Electrolisis between dis-similar metals is the likely cause. The radiator kneck is brass on older radiators, which would likely react to S/Steel if it were in contact. So its in and works well.”
