“They don’t fit, I have a fzj105, first of all the bolt holes in the brackets don’t match factory bolt hole size(too small) so had to drill out, eh whatever mistakes happen, then after attaching both ends I go to close the door and they foul on the body of the car, thought maybe I got them the wrong way around but no definitely not.”

“Not bad, I had to drill the holes for the bolts as they are 6mm. Hole's only 5mm. They work really good and easy to fit except the drilling.”

“The gas struts are as advertised but as per lots of reviews do not exactly fit a 100 series Landcruiser GXL. The head of the strut rubs on the side of the door frame and damages the paint. The loading to close the tailgate is too high. It is a two handed job to close the tailgate. In hindsight I would not buy”

“These struts are way too stiff for the job. I am 100+ kg and 6’ tall and it is a major effort for me to close the back hatch on my Tojo. My wife cannot do it. I will have to replace them. Complete waste.”

“Gas struts have excessive pressure, places enormous stress on the tailgate lid. Also, the mounting joint is slightly wider than the original part and is now rubbing against the car body, and removing paint. Very disappointing overall, would not buy again.”

“Works well although l had to modify the bracket to stop the strut from rubbing on the car body when closing the tailgate”

“Speedy delivery . Ordered about 10 am arrived 7.30 next day . Mounting bracket holes too small needed to be drilled out . Appear to have dry high gas charge , very hard to pull down .”

“Top mounting holes needed to be drilled out to install. Struts sat wider and scratched paint in the door jam as the door was closed, had to bend inwards to avoid scratching. Very highly charged gas struts makes it difficult to close tailgate.”
