“Not sure if they were the correct pair as I had to compress struts so to fit them. I ordered for a 2008 Falcon with boot lid spoiler, but as the build date was Jan 2008, I suspect ford had fitted the shorter version to get rid of stock on their production line. If they were correct they should have come with a retainer so that they could be easily fitted. A.N.Gee (Automotive Engineer)”

There is a change for the listing of these gas stay struts in 2008, most BF models have a strut that is 284mm extended and 184mm compressed, and most FG have a longer strut which measures 340mm extended and 215mm compressed. It sounds like you vehicle has the BF type struts on it and the ones you have ordered are for the FG. We appreciate this feedback as it will allow us to ensure that our listing is comprehensive.
