“I replaced my original alternator on my 1990 HZJ80R 80 Series. Absolutely no problems installing it. I was almost put off by a Youtube review that showed difficulty fitting it in an 80s series, but I had no problems whatsoever. Remove dual battery and air filter to give yourself room. The hardest part was getting the bottom bolt in (it's hard to line up regardless of brand of alternator). The new alternator is charging perfectly and immediately fixed the dash light flickering and charging problems. As a bonus, replacing it also resolved the intermitted air conditioning problem. It's only been in a few weeks, so can't recommend long term, otherwise I'd give 5 stars.”
