“The first tensioner failed and was replaced on warranty. The rubber boot had split which seemingly was due to the absorber being out of to the alignment with the cylinder - whether this fault occurred in manufacture or not, I cannot say, or it may have even been due to myself putting too much load on it in the vice - note to excercise caution here. Also take heed of the advice to use only a 6 pointed socket on the bracket nut - a 12 pointed socked will round the faces and you’ll be in more trouble than Moby Dick.”
