“Bought the starter motor for my 2005 GU Patrol 4.8l auto. The starter motor fits with no issues but when I started the vehicle the solenoid got stuck and did not want to disengage. The motor kept running and I had to disconnect the battery otherwise the motor would burn itself out. When connected again the motor just engaged by itself. I then bought another starter motor from PATROLAPART and no issues. It seems the solenoid on this motor is faulty. Will not recommend this product for the 4.8 GU Patrol”

“the starter appears to be of good quality but at this stage it has not been used much as the vehicle is only used when towing my caravan which is mainly in the winter. Working quite well at this stage but with this type of product only time will really tell.”
