“I did my research on this ammo. Some sites had it listed as berdan primed, some as boxer. Some corrosive, some non-corrosive. I bought 250 rounds. Pulled one round apart: boxer primed. So far so good - reloadable. Tested for corrosion by igniting the primer over a bare nail and waiting a few days. Non-corrosive. Even better! I started shooting it and had reasonable results out of my M1 Garand and 1903 Springfield, typical of surplus ammo. Then I had a case head rupture and blew gas into my face. Thank god for glasses or I would be blind. I've never had this happen to me in 50 years of shooting. I'm not sure what to think now. Was it a fluke or is this ammo all suspect?”
