It's hard to beat Fiocchi ammo plus they are the only company that is offering 40 grain 223 ammo.

My Thompson Center Compass simply LOOOOOOOVE this ammo. Using sandbags, a $33 6-24X50mm scope found on Amazon and a Limbsaver barrel de-resonator (also found on Amazon) set to 1 inch from the muzzle, I can constantly shoot 0.4-0.7 inch 5 round groups at 100 yards if I do my job. Last Saturday I put 4 rounds through the same hole which sets a new record for myself:) Unfortunately the 5th round was a flyer (might be caused by me as the 5th shot is by far the most stressful one:) that opened up the whole group (final group was 1.3 inch). At 200 yards it opens up a little bit but I can still get plenty of 1 inch 5 round groups if everything works out well, but 1.5-2.2 inches is the norm. I can' speak for other 223 guns over longer distance, but with this specific rifle that I own, I can out shoot many of the custom built competition rifles at the range and others can't believe how tight the groups are out of such dirt-cheap entry-level setups. I guess this has a lot to do with this ammo:) Love it, will stock up lots of this ammo and produce lots of tight groups with them:)

Not shot it yet, but other reviews of this ammo & the 40gr Hornady bullet are quite good. I expect more of the same.
