“I bought some Sellier & Bellot 6.5 Creedmoor 140 Gr FMJ (from a different vendor) to use in zeroing in me new Aero Precision AR-10. I was having a lot of issues with the weapon cycling. Failed ejections, chambering new rounds and failure to lock the bolt back when the last round was fired. It was as if the gun was under-gassed.
To further diagnose the issue, I bought 200 rounds of Hornady 6.5 Creedmoor (American Gunner) from Outdoor Limited. The rounds arrived a couple days later. With these rounds the AR-10 never missed a beat. Under-gassing was ruled out as a problem. Previously my best run with the S&B ammo was 4 cycles. With the Hornady ammo it ran the entire mag without any interruptions.
