“I own an original 1892 Winchester lever action rifle that left the factory in 1917 in .38-40 Winchester. I had it converted to .45 Colt using the original 24” octagonal barrel and action for Cowboy Action Shooting events. It shoot very well out to 200 yards with Keith style lead bullets, but I started hunting with the Hornady LeveRevolution loads about 5 years ago and it shoots them very well. I have the rifle sighted in at 75 yards now, and I took this 180 lb. doe on our farm in North Central Iowa at 67 yards with one shot. She spun 180 degrees and fell dead on the spot.”
