“Bought these to try out in my custom rifle in 7mm-08. I have had good performance from the Federal Trophy Copper 140gr ammo - but was interested in testing other options.
My rifle did not like this ammo; and did not group well. I also noticed that it’s recoil was markedly greater than the Federal Trophy Copper loads; I was not able to chronograph them.
The Remington cartridges also tended to stick in the chamber - suggesting higher pressures than from the Federal ammo. To be fair, the chamber in the custom rifle is cut to lower tolerances than a standard 7mm-08 factory rifle; and the nickel plated Federal cases may offer greater lubricity over Remington brass cases on extraction.
I cannot comment on the bullet performance on game.”
“Fairly light recoil, accurate round, excellent for the grandchildren in the family, may work up some slightly lighter reloads for practice, have a whole year until that rifle and granddaughter will be carrying it in the deer woods.”
