“Ramshot Silhouette is a very good powder for high velocity 45 ACP loads and keeping pressures at +P levels or less. I selected this powder to work up some heavy weight “woods” carry loads. Using factory load data yielded a 250 grn hard cast at 900 FPS out of a 5” colt gov model with only +P pressure levels (under 23K psi). This load provides about 450 ftlbs energy. My colt is set up for 460 Rowland so this is a mild load. This powder can yield 750 ftlb loads and velocities over 1150 FPS with a 250 grn bullet. I would say this powder is similar to Alliant Power Pistol. Anyway if your into reloading for semi automatics, this powder offers pretty good numbers.”
