“Light weight and very comfortable. I use this base layer underneath heavier layers for very cold conditions and underneath my jersey on cool days. I ride 400 to 500 miles per week and these help make it enjoyable.”

“After relying on long sleeves base layers of varying thickness for winter riding, the alpha core base layer is a game changer. I was skeptical of a sleeveless base layer designed for warmth, but after liking the alpha core insulation so much in the Vertex Jacket, I figured it was worth a shot. I just did a ride at 30 degrees with 10-20mph wind wearing this base layer over a thin long sleeve underneath the Vertex Jacket and never felt cold once. I only wore the long sleeve to keep my arms a bit warmer, and the combo of it and the alpha core base layer felt warmer than my thickest wool base layer. I’m confident in this base layers’ ability to work across a wide range of temperatures both warmer and colder than what I rode today by changing what I wear underneath and over top of it, and I really look forward to using it on more rides. Not to mention that it feels like a soft, cozy blanket, which is awesome.”
