Love the bibs but I wish I would have waited for the sale

I have 4 guys that I ride with that swear by these bibs (how great they are) so I needed some bibs and had a discount coupon and bought two pair. After trying the first size on (XXL) I decided to order two more pair a size smaller (XL). The XLs fit much better, provided good compression without any excess material. So I washed both pair and hung them dry.

Love the new styling and the straps are like so minimal they barely exist. The area around the waistline has changed and I have to say, the old ones were a better fir for me. This waist seems a tad bit too low, but that could just be my personal preference. Had they been just like the old bibs I would want to give this 10 stars.

Wore these excellent bibs training for and during the 2021 Unbound XL (357 miles, 35 hours for me!). Bibs were comfortable in the heat and rugged conditions. Dried quickly after creek crossings. Glad I made the decision to choose the 12-hour bibs for this event.

I've had Stratos/12-hour bibs for a few years and they've always been at or near the top of my list in terms of comfort and quality, the "go to" bibs for that special ride. When Pactimo released this upgraded edition, I was skeptical, especially at the new price point. One ride and all doubts are gone. The new chamois is amazing, and the straps/lower coverage are much better. They run a bit warmer, but that's a small price to pay for pushing what was already great all-day-ride comfort to even more brilliance.

After 10+ rides the pad began to stretch (going by Pactimo customer service) and started getting saddle sores where I never had with other bibs. Great quality and CS but didn’t work for me.

I am 5'11" tall, 164-165 racing weight, athletic build. I have worn mostly Italian brands (Giordana, Nalini), some Capo, Sportful - and wear a size L in those brands. I decided to give these bibs a try. According to the size chart, I am on the border for size M or L. After a quick online chat with support, decided to go with the size M. Wore them for the first time today on a 65 mile ride. Initial impressions - the fabrics are certainly unique, but soft and supportive. The overall fit is nice, the bib straps are great (hardly notice them), and fabric is very breathable. The chamois felt pretty good, too, but looking to get in some more longer rides to see how they feel. The one "knock" on these bibs - for a top of the line bib at this price point... how can they not have flat seams? This is a pretty big miss on what is touted as a "12 hour" bib short - for which comfort should be priority one. Had to take off one star for that. Otherwise, pretty happy with them so far.
