I recently replaced several pairs of Pactimo Summit Strike bibs (3-4 years old) with the Ascent Vector Bibs. Upon trying on the Ascent Vector bibs, I noticed an immediate difference in overall material weight (Ascent Vector is lighter than Summit Strike) and more comfort bib straps. The materials used for the Ascent vector straps and shorts breathe much better when riding. I live in the southwest where this summer (2024), we've set a record over 100 days with temps of 100+ degrees, so I can tell which bibs feel cooler! Compared to the Summit Strike bibs, I initially felt that the Ascent Vector bib strap material was more flimsy and thin, but after wearing and washing many times, I can honestly say they are more comfortable, just as stretchy, barely feel them and durable. I have noticed no wear from repeated washing. The same applies to the shorts body and leg opening elastic. I bought the long version that adds 2-3cm in leg length I like it a lot. I am 5'6" and weigh 160lbs and purchased size M. My older Summit Strike bibs were size S. The leg opening was noticably tighter and the overall compression a bit tighter as well, but that was more than likely due to the smaller size. The Ascent Vector material is smoother and just feels better. When riding, I don't notice the bib straps at all and the overal comfort for me is greater. The pad disappears when sitting on the saddle. For me, bib shorts, bib tights and jerseys are something that is not worth compromising as it has a direct correlation to your on-bike comfort and ride. These bibs are worth it, and even better when it's on sale.

I am 5' 11", 175lbs and normally fit into medium clothing. Quality of the product was great as most of Pactimo items I have tried. Length was good but could barely pull the bib legs past my knees. Was uncomfortably compressive above knee to thigh. Everything else fit fine from Chamois to Shoulder. I then ordered and received the Large and it was much more comfortable and just the right amount of compression. The Chamois is ok but find the Specialized and Bontrager much more comfortable. Did forty miles in them on Sunday though. I will keep them and wear them for sure...

The best thing I can say is that I completely forget about it on the ride. I’m 6’3ā€ 182 lbs. The medium/long is perfect. Shoulder straps are soft and comfortable. The leg grippers stay put all day. But the star of the show is the chamois. Stays in place, never feels wet, and provides comfort all day.

I use Ascent Vector Bib shorts for mtb, road and indoor cycling. Size medium (long) fits me at 6'1" and 182 lbs. What I like most is the chamois, super comfortable with different saddles on my bikes. The material and stitching are super smooth and very durable. The silicone leg bands grip nicely on my skinny old man legs. Kudos to Pactimo!
