I’m 5’9” 200 lb. The fit is a bit snug, but workable. I’ve been losing weight, so I didn’t want to have to buy another when I reached my target weight of 175-180. The jacket is comfortable for me down to the upper 30’s with just a thin, long sleeve thermal shirt underneath. The jacket is very light and form fitting, so there’s not a lot of fabric flapping in the wind like I found with cheaper jackets bought on the mail order giant.

I must have been good, because Santa brought me a Vertex WX-D jacket -- and on Christmas Day, he provided a cold wet morning to try it out. It's comfortable, highly visible and toasty warm. I especially like the fit. It's form-fitting without being too tight, even with supplies in the back pockets, and the sleeve length allows for full coverage while riding. Highly recommend this jacket!

IMO, Pactimo has the best cold weather clothing in their Vertec jackets and tights. I have found nothing else that I like as well.

My experience of the previous version of the WX-D jacket was that it's super-warm, but hard to stay dry in, particularly in high-humidity or outright wet weather. This edition drastically improves ventilation, plus the lofting insulation provides warmth for standing-around situations (we've all been there, had to stop for someone's mechanical in the cold/wet). If anything, this edition is warmer outright, and is much easier to stay comfortable in even when it's wet and cold. The improved ventilation and sleeve cuffs make it possible to dump heat while you're working, then when you have to stop you can close that up until you can warm back up
