Quality and fit are great... except for the arm length. I have a fairly typical build but found the arms to be extra long.

I've been very impressed with this jersey, it's just the right amount of warm with a base layer for rides down into the 30s and does well up in to the 50s (Fahrenheit). I do agree that the arms are a little long; I wear a 40 jacket, so I went with the large and it fits great through the chest and mid section, but the arms are crazy long. If you're between sizes and want a more aero fit, I'd definitely size down.

I used the Alpine Thermal Jersey for my morning commute in Portland OR. It is a 8 mile commute one way. Temps were as low as 30 and one morning had light snow. In combination with the Vertex jacket I was comfortable. Any colder and I would have been cold. Since I don't like my clothing race/aero fit I ordered a large (5'11" 175lbs) It fit great for me and I loved the long sleeves.

I wanted to replace my Pactimo thermal long sleeve “continental fit” jersey which I purchased from the team store several years ago. I’m a pretty skinny guy but, even so, I still needed to trade up from large to XL since this jersey is “aero fit.” Other than that, it’s great. I use it with a long sleeve base layer in 50-58 degree weather. Adding a windproof vest over takes the range down to 45 or so. Below that and it’s time for me to switch to a winter jacket but I always “run cold” and others may be able to stretch those ranges down another 5 degrees.

To be clear, we’re talking about a Southern California winter, though this past winter was exceptionally cold; many rides began in the low 40 degrees and didn’t exceed 60 degrees. The Alpine Thermal jersey saved the day numerous times. Paired with a Pactimo merino wool base layer and usually a vest, the jersey kept the wind out and my core toasty warm. The fit is perfect and the material just breathable enough to virtually eliminate sweat buildup.
