“This is my third Ascent Jersey (short sleeve). I also have three Ascent LS jerseys and three Ascent sleeveless jerseys. One thing that Pactimo gets right compared to Voler, The Black Bibs and other brands that I've worn over the years including Louis Garneau is that the body length is slightly shorter than any other jerseys I own that are not Pactimo. This makes a difference for me because the shorter length (back in particular) allows my lower back to be cooler when riding in the heat of the southwest. It just eliminates an additional layer covering my lower back. Additionally, the shorter front length doesn't bunch up when I'm riding in the drops. I'm not very tall at 5'6" and weigh 160 lbs and purchased size S. It fits great without the compression feeling of race fit jerseys while also providing just enough room for a base layer when riding in cooler temps. In addition to the shorter body length, I love the tapered collar as I hate the tall collar some jersey manufacturerers use. When fully zipped, the tall collar just feels too tight on my neck and I find it irritating and too hot. Whereas, with the tapered front collar, I barely feel it when zipped up. I wish winter thermal jerseys were this way, too, but I understand the additional coverage in cold temps. The zipper, an often overlooked detail, is easy to operate and quiet. I can't tell you how many jerseys that I've owned in the past that used a metal zipper that dangles and hits the plastic clasp on my helmet strap and drives me crazy with the clanging sound. The one thing I would love to see is a slightly longer sleeve. When putting on the jersey, the length looks and feels fine, but when riding on the hoods or drops, the sleeves slide up. I would love it if it were 2" longer.”
