“Runs small. I'm 5'11", 195 lbs, and needed the XXL to get a fit that didn't feel restrictive across the shoulders and chest. If you're built anywhere close to that, check the sizing guide carefully before you order. I already own the Divide jacket in Alpine Deep and liked it enough to add the vest in the same color. That decision paid off. The front panel blocks wind the way you'd want on a fast descent, but it doesn't turn into a sail. No flapping, no ballooning, none of that stiff, crinkly "trash bag" feeling some wind layers have when you're moving. The back mesh panel is the standout feature for me. On climbs, it actually vents rather than just trapping sweat against your back, which is the usual trade-off with vests like this. Small but appreciated detail: the storm flaps are positioned well, and the fabric has enough body to it that the flap stays clear of the zipper teeth. I've had cheaper vests where the flap gets chewed up in the zipper on the first ride. Not an issue here. Overall, a solid piece if you already run warm and want core wind protection without adding bulk or heat.”
