I have large hands (22 -23 cm palm circumference) and the XL fits well, not to tight nor loose, so the size guide is accurate. I have worn them on three and four hours rides in changeable weather (52 - 66 F, 11 - 19 C) , where I needed them to be warm and windproof at the start, but not to get sweaty hands at the end. They worked admirably, keeping my hands warm, and then dry. Based on this experience, I expect them to work well in colder conditions (down to 40 F, 5 C)

Love these gloves - they keep my hands warm on rides down to the 30s and grip material on palms is fantastic. Disappointed in the quality; gloves ripped at the seams after the second ride.

These are great. The fit is excellent and they are thin enough to shift gears with ease. Used them yesterday with temps in the low 40's. They kept my hands pretty warm, but after a couple hours the tops of my hands started to get a bit chilly. I think I'll stuff some hand warmers in them and they should be good to go from there.

These gloves hit all the key points: They're not bulky so you have reasonable dexterity while wearing them. Bonus: they work with touch screens! They keep my hands warm down to a few degrees below freezing, well past what they're rated for. At the warmer end of their range, they're still comfortable. They do a great job of blocking the wind too. And for night rides, the reflective area really pops when hit by headlights - I was following another rider wearing the same gloves and my bike headlight was enough to make them highly visible. The only downside is if your hands get a little clammy/sweaty, the gloves need a bit of coaxing on each finger to come off. It's not a bad tradeoff for the dexterity though.

They are perfect for those rides in 40f degree weather. Easy shifting and braking and very comfortable. Love them.

The gloves are well made, but I find my hands get moist and then cold on rides at about 30-45 minutes out at 40-45 degrees. I should have gone with another option for temps of 45 and below. I bought an XL size and it fits my 8.75" hand well.
