Not sure if this is really helping. Our GSD has HIGH anxiety & is still hard to get confident in any environment. We had a behavioral trainer work with him. She said he may be genetically this way due to he came from a puppy mill. Not giving up because we may need to either up or down doses.‍♀️ I know CBD is a good option.

We used the CBD oil to help our dog with separation anxiety. He is new to our home and had neglect in his past, so it’s not surprising it will take some time for his anxiety about us leaving takers off and hopefully away altogether. We started by using a prescription for the vet and the CBD together and although he still barked when we were gone, it was less barking and he didn’t have that panic sound in his voice. Over time we have been able to give less and less of the prescription medicine, keeping the CBD, which he readily takes from the dropper. It’s helpful and I recommend it.

Both of our furry family members have benefited from the oil. Less anxiety and both seemed less stressed. I will keep using for them.

My dog is a rescue and spent most of her first year at a kennel. This after all her siblings had been adopted. She is a skittish dog and had developed a habit of licking the fur off a spot on her paw. For years we could not get her to stop the licking. We think it was her way of dealing with stress. We starting to putting CBD drop in her food and after a few weeks we noticed the wound had healed. She had stopped the licking. She is still a skittish dog but the licking has stopped.

We rescued a 5-month-old puppy who came to us with major anxiety. We couldn't even close a door in our house without him spraying his anal glands in a panic. Walking him was a nightmare - he'd bark, growl and lunge at everyone he saw and pull so hard on the leash that he'd almost choke himself. Plus, he would HATE going to parks or woods or other doggy play areas as he'd freak out as soon as anyone came within viewing distance. We couldn't have people visit us at home, not even close family, as he just would not stop barking. He was a real sweetie alone with us, but got a reputation for being the scourge of our neighborhood pretty quickly. We also had our vet tell us he needed to be muzzled after he freaked out at a routine visit when the vet tech manhandled him on to the scale, even though our dog was obviously in distress and was afraid - needless to say we found another vet. Anyway, my father-in-law showed me an infomercial for Happy-Furever CBD oil and I thought, why not? After the first week we noticed that he was ever so slightly calmer. It was subtle, but it gave us hope. After that we also started our boy on Prozac at the recommendation of our new vet. We are now about 4 months in on both the CBD oil and Prozac and I have to say we have a different dog! The vet recommended we double his Prozac dose after 4 weeks but we could see that the CDB oil was having an effect and decided to stay at the lower dose - I'm so glad we did. Our now 11-month-old boy no longer reacts to every sound in the house. He also rarely pulls on the leash and has managed to stop barking at people we pass on the street! He even warmed to my father-in-law so that we can have him visit without a panic ensuing. We are still working on having more than one person visit at a time but I have to say I am so impressed with the Happy-Furever oil. It hasn't worked in isolation - we still use a low dose of Prozac and we worked with a trainer too, but the oil has been a game changer for our family. If you're on the fence about trying it, but your dog is way too high strung and you don't want to just use pharmaceuticals, I would definitely recommend giving this product a try. Our hope is to wean him off Prozac entirely at some point and with the progress he's made, I really think we can do it.
