Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Provide fresh decaf coffee at the breakfast service (not instant) and consider installing air con.
“Pros: Grounds were beautiful, some of the staff were helpful, the bed was comfy and the breakfast food was nice. Cons: Some of the staff were rude. When I checked in (at 6 moths pregnant) I asked if there was a lift as with my pregnacy I am not able to carry a case up the stairs. The lady who checked me in looked at me blank and said "no" and offfered no help. One monring I went down to breakfast and me and my partner sat at a table for 4 as it was the only table not in the sun. There was a heatwave and we had our dog with us plus my pregnacy so we did not want to sit in the sun. The waitress snapped at us saying "you can't sit here. This is a table for 4" and made us move into the boiling hot sun. At the breakfast service the only had instant coffee. No fresh coffee or coffee from a machine. Dissapointing. The beds were comfy but the rooms were dated. They could do with new flooring and a lick of paint. There was no air con. Given they market themselves as a dog friendly hotel I thought this was particullary bad and potenially unsafe for dogs of certain breeds / ages. The rooms had carpets so without air con they were boiling hot. It was warmer in our room than it was outside which made it difficult to sleep.”

Dear Katie, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your stay at Luccombe Manor Country House did not meet your expectations. While we’re pleased to hear you enjoyed the beautiful grounds, comfortable bed and breakfast, we’re disappointed to learn about the issues you experienced during your stay. The lack of assistance on arrival, the service you received at breakfast, and the room conditions you described are certainly not the experience we want our customers to have. We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention and have shared your comments with the hotel management for their review. Feedback such as yours is invaluable in helping our accommodation partners improve both their facilities and the service they provide. We sincerely apologise for the disappointment caused and hope we can help you find accommodation that better meets your expectations for your future travels. Kind regards, PetsPyjamas

“Met by smiling lovey young lady who took us to our room which looked to us recently.decorated!new carpet, new lighting and very faint smell of paint. The staff all spoilt us AND our dogs and where really pleasant and helpful. The resteraunt, lounge were both dog friendly too. We live on the island so didn't mind going home for my husbands swimming trunks so we could indulge a daily session in this hot tub which was great, whilst we indulged the doggies had s post walk nap in our room. We will be going again definitely.”

“In 10 years of holidaying with Bronte, this is the most dog friendly hotel we've ever stayed in. The hotel provided bowls, a dog bed, towels and even a warm doggy wash to clean your pooch on return from their adventures. The service & staff were excellent with good food with great choices for breakfast and dinner.”

“We had an amazing time here recently. There was a foggy warm shower at the entrance for dirty paws and boots and towel to dry them with. A special fenced secure section for the dogs to run around in and agility equipment. Able to eat in all areas and the rooms were nice and cleaned daily. Inclusive breakfast was varied and great food, dogs were offered sausage at breakfast and spolit by all the staff. Evening meals were tasty and reasonably priced a choice of 1,2 or 3 courses. Went over on white link ferries and that were amazing had a area for the dogs and owners to sit. We will definitely be going back to this hotel next year.”
