“Buyer beware, Got one of these tanks as a gift, I’m a newby with aquariums, was very excited, I set up my tank as per instructions, bought the substrate, bought some plants, got water conditioner, a heater, after about a week I got some fish, not too many about 8, all was going ok for about 2-3 days then my fish started dying, so bought some water testing strips, nitrates were very high, obviously something wasn’t working, realised it was the filter, its utterly useless, doesn’t function, so bought some more products to reduce nitrates and a new nitrate absorbing filter, tested water today, everything was within the normal range, so my advise if buying this product is to do research on nitrates and get a decent filter and test with water testing strips before adding fish as the filtration system that’s included in the kit is useless
It’s been an expensive learning curve, Otherwise, I’m now happy with my aquarium now the new filter pouch is working”
