“I started feeding Glow to my dogs as the brand I had been using was out of stock a lot of the time and I was given reciprocal use of the brand cash I had.
I fed Glow Dry Dog Food to my 2 staffies (now 9&11yo) for a couple of years.
My 9 year old has always had a sensitive stomach for this reason I have always fed her fish based food. For quite a while I thought she was just having age related health issues along with her digestive issue. I was adding daily probiotics to her food as she had been doing massive diarrhoea poos with the food barely digested, this didn't help. She was losing weight, her fur was thinning, she was constantly itching, chewing and scratching, she was staying in her kennel more and more. She then started loosing her balance, wobbly when she walked and falling over. I took a stab in the dark and switched her to another brand, within days her poos were solid and half the volume, within weeks she had stopped itching and her fur was growing back, within a couple of months she regained her balance, stopped falling over and bounces around like a puppy, she barely goes in her kennel during the day now and she's the happiest and liveliest she's been in years.
My older dog wasn't having the same issues but was slowing down in his movements. I continued feeding him the Glow as I had a full bag I didn't want to waste it, the past few weeks he's also been off the Glow food and on a different brand now and doesn't appear to be as stiff or in as much discomfort as previously.
In my experience Glow dry food has caused chronic inflammation in both my dogs and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.”
“My german shepherd / golden retriever cross, who normally gobbles everything up immediately, refuses to eat this. She was also repeatedly sick after eating (when I mixed it into her other food). Unfortunately I bought 2 x 10kg bags!
