“I wanted to love this collar as it had many great things going for it - light, smooth, comfortable, easy to clean and unlikely to hold smells. I'd seen a patented version of this clasp that I favour because it is quiet to close, doesn't pinch fingers, is quick-release and is SUPPOSED to be incredibly strong (eg. able to be used on tactical gear and rock-climbing harnesses, etc). Unfortunately the actual clasp on this collar is extremely poor quality, which I discovered when it snapped open on our walk in the park, right as a passing car went by. By pure luck my dog is fine and, despite only having my rescue dog for a few weeks, I was able to get her to come back to me and use her leash as a slip-lead long enough to make it back to our car. But it could have very easily ended in tragedy. I hope this company considers upgrading their clasp to having a wider catch-piece to hold it together, and tests it for quality before owners risk testing it with their pets' lives.”
