“Bought a bag of Vetafarm Parrot Essentials for my 2 month Cockatiel (Tweek) as I wanted him on a healthy diet (no seed). He refused to eat them for the first 4 days until I tried a foraging trick. I placed him on a table with a sheet of paper with some of the pellets scattered on it, without giving him any attention I pretended to eat the pellets by pecking at them with two fingers and flicking my nails together to mimic cracking sounds. He then wanted to try some of the pellets but I moved them away and calmly said no, now he really wanted to try them. Once he started putting them in his mouth, I gave him lots of praise and pretending to continue eating them. Tweek now eats his pellets in his cage without me around, he absolutely loves them! Great pellets for birds once they have been accepted, would 100% recommend.”
