GiGwi Duraspikes Durable Elephant Dog Toy Reviews

3.3 Rating 3 Reviews
My 1.5 year old puppy, who isn't a huge chewer / destroyer of toys destroyed this in under 10 minutes. The rubber spikes are VERY easily chewed straight off. For , at full price , a $50 toy im pretty disappointed and would not recommend for any dog that chews at all (which with the different tactile surfaces i would assume this toy is supposed to be chewed on in some capacity) . I would add photos but seems I'm unable to add with this review. Basically entire spikes are missing , the toy is ripped when the spikes came out and other spikes are half missing. Here's hoping she hasn't swallowed any of the rubber spikes ! Waste of money , but worse than that , this toy is a hazard as it's very poorly made .

My amstaff x mastiff boy breaks kongs so I was hoping this would at least survive some days while hes stuck inside from an injury. So far it has! The outside is tough canvas and when he does manage to rip it, it doesnt seem to keep tearing, so it keeps being usable after the first rip. The inside layer underneath seems tough too, and keeps the stuffing from leaking out of the small rips. If your dog goes for the inside stuffing id recommend trimming the hair fluff and tags on this toy before you give it to your dog as these seem to be the weakest points. The hair fluff on mine has torn and revealed stuffing, but my dog has not dragged the stuffing out yet so Im ok with that.
