This litter is EXCELLENT! We have spent hundreds on trying different litter brands over the last 6 months. Not sure if due to the humidity or transition to 100% indoors when we moved to QLD, but the scent of the litter box has been unbearable; not a single brand despite the huge price tag lasts more than a week despite daily scooping without becoming putrid. We finally tried the pine pellets and will never go back. At the moment we’re using a traditional box and scoop rather than the sifting base, but it seems to be working out fine for now.

Nearly ditched it! Like many others found on other reviews, the last lot was not up to par and simply wasn't soaking up. we have a Maine Coon, so the dumpage is high! I rang the catmate company. the story in a nutshell is, they have had trouble sourcing the same material and it IS different. the solution is to put a thin layer in the bottom of the Ozpet tray (or whatever you have) to act as a soaker. keeping the majority of the pellets in the top tray. I tried their soak test... a handful in a bowl, added water and it soaks up fine. Have been keeping that bottom tray lined with pellets (only 1 pellet layer deep) and it's back to working great. Just as well! I had bought a years supply! recommend you ring them. they were fabulous to talk to and very informative and helpful. Thankyou Jeanette from Catmate. it's all working as it should.

Have tried so many other litters, they smell very quickly. This stuff is a game changer, so much easier to clean and no smell. Works great with the Moderna high sided sifting litter tray.

We we recommended this product for our 4 cats. Which means 4 litter trays. The laundry does not smell and the cats love this litter. I out performs all the others. Once sifted out the solids go in the bin and the left overs can go in the compost. We love it.
