“I recently remodeled my sauna and walk in shower room and wanted a really nice rain shower and Moen came through with this outstanding rain shower head. Overall the entire set up was pricey but worth it. I went with all Kohler products that I purchased here on plumbingsupplyandmore but was disappointed with the Kohler Awaken shower head’s pressure. I returned it for this Moen Velocity and am glad I did. Works great at both settings. As recommended by others here I removed the green limiter with a pair of needle nose pliers. The brushed nickel finish is beautiful and the lever for changing modes works easily. I tilted the head after taking my shower to allow any water inside to drain which took about 20 seconds. Only thing I’d like is if it was a bit cheaper.”
“Totally agree with all others that left great reviews You do need to remove the restrictor get get the full effect........pretty easy to remove. If you don't want to remove the restrictor for some reason don't wasteyour money as this shower head is not inexpensive. Loved 1st one so much I bought a second one for my kids”
“The shower stream is excellent. Some have pin point streams that actually kinda hurts. These are big enough to feel plentiful. The flow is excellent. Buying the chrome was so much cheaper than the other options. I have a brushed nickel pipe that the head attaches to, but you can not notice the difference. Go with chrome & save money.”
“I purchased four of these back in 2014. They still look amazing and function beautifully. I recently decided to take out the flow restriction in one of the shower heads… oh my gosh… the pressure and volume of water is like your standing under a raging waterfall. I typically only turn on 1/2 the water level, and it still is an amazing showering experience. Five stars all day, every day! Every time I’m away from my home, perhaps the thing I miss most is this incredible shower.”
“We've had this shower head for about 6 months now and I actually do notice a difference, when compared to the other shower head installed in the secondary bathroom.Although I initially thought it was slightly nicer to have a broad and gentle stream, it has become more and more difficult to shower with the cheaper head, which feels much more "needley". I also thought that only having two settings would feel limited, but they got both the settings right so I don't even notice.Bottom line is that we bought this with little hope of a noticeable difference from the ~$40 shower head with 13 settings but it's really been nice to have. I honestly don't think the gulf in price tags is justifiable, but we got this on Prime Day as a warehouse deal, so it was pretty heavily discounted.”
“I ordered this unit because I was hoping to have more water pressure than other ones that you can get from Home Depot. Yes, the pressure is higher but not as much as I was hoping. It's been few months already. We are still using it. I guess it's OK”
“I replaced our older shower head after having repeated problems with mold infestation. I bought this one based on the plumbingsupplyandmore reviews. The shower head water flow is great for me. The spray is not as forceful as the one we replaced, but it’s very comfortable. The size of the head gives a wide spray pattern. With a new tube from the wall to the head, you can angle it from a waterfall spray to a diagonal spray. Everyone in my family loves it. The only negative is the price.”
