“The new design is better than the old design that used pleats. However, it is hard to slide the filter onto the frame. I ended up with pulling out the frame for better view of the guide and finally slid the filter in position after three attempts.”
“There's nothing really wrong with this filter except it is expensive and you can get it only at a few places like plumbingsupplyandmore. You can't get one from the plumbingsupplyandmore or Lowes and most mom and pop hardware stores. You must order them in.Had I known this, I would have stuck to the regulator old fiberglass air filter and been done with it. Perhaps not as good as the Aprilaire? I don't know, but a whale of a lot cheaper!”
“These filters are on the more pricey side, but they require less attention each month. I change mine out about twice a year. Before the temps get too hot, and before it gets too cold. Clean filters allow me to minimize the amount my system fights the dirt on the filter for max heating and cooling.”
