16" x 25" Whole-House Air Purifier Replacement Filter. Reviews

4.2 Rating 413 Reviews
We have used this brand of Air Filter for almost a year now and I must say my husband and I feel that this brand is worth the money. We replace our filter every six months. Easy to install, good value and does the job very well. We have one cat and we see very little dust come up from the cat. Thanks for providing a good product!

Our furnace/AC specifies this filter and it only needs to be replaced once a year. So the cost is about the same as a 4 pack of high quality 1" filters which need replacement every 2-3 months. Annual maintenance shows it does a good job of keeping the HVAC components clean, as it does for the air quality in the house.

We really need some competitors to lower these prices. They work fine.

Four years ago a pair of 413 filters could be had for $70. Today, a pair is $100, over a 40 percent increase. Why?I have installed a u tube manometer (look up on plumbingsupplyandmore) to measure pressure change through the filter. That way i can replace on condition and not just time…i fount that replacing automatically 2x a year was too much. Last two times Ive replaced 9 and 8 months, so in the end my cost hasn't really changed.Aprilaire you need to do better. And there are other sourcing options even when you try to hide behind patenting freaking filters to force an abusive monopolistic position.

I've always bought this filter from plumbingsupplyandmore without issue. I'm tempted to try a knock-off since they are substantially cheaper in price but not sure of the quality.

This is my fifth filter purchase through plumbingsupplyandmore. The filters themselves are fine—they do what they are supposed to with relatively easy installation (aligning the tracks can be challenging depending on the placement of your unit). My grief here is that my filter arrived opened. Clearly ripped open on one end and then half taped up, like someone bought the wrong one, tried to install it, realized their mistake, and returned it. I paid full price for a NEW filter, not an open-box filter. The end of the filter on the open side is already dirty. "Sold by and shipped from plumbingsupplyandmore." An open-but-unused pair of socks? OK, I can wash those. An open-and-slightly-dirty HEPA filter that can't be washed? No. One more strike, and you're out, plumbingsupplyandmore.
