“My new HVAC system has the AprilAire filter 410/413. From the start, I was impressed by the lack of dust in the house and odor removal. My old system had a U/V light with electrostatic filters. It never seemed to work very well. The AprilAire filters are 4" Heppa, MERV 13 and come compressed like an accordian. Easy to install and it will last 12 months with average use. In my take, the cost of these filters is justified by their performance.”
“Our furnace guy wanted like 150 bucks to put this in our furnace. I can't do a lot around our house, but I can certainly put a filter in my furnace. This was WAY cheaper than paying the guy to pull off the air filter cover, shove this in, and put the cover back on. It was easy to install (just look for the arrow for the direction of the airflow). Great product...Traps all the little dust bunnies and keeps us breathing well!”
