The Liberty Jet SJ10 (MPN: SJ10) water-powered backup sump pump delivers municipal water-driven basement flood protection during power outage emergencies and primary pump failures through its engineered venturi-effect ejector technology. This 3.5-pound thermoplastic emergency system operates entirely without electricity or battery charger dependency, utilizing city water pressure ranging from 20 PSI to 100 PSI to evacuate sump water through a fully automatic float-activated valve assembly that protects homeowners when conventional submersible primary sump pump systems lose power. The SJ10 model's factory-assembled ABS construction arrives ready for immediate wall-mount installation above existing discharge piping, providing secondary flood protection that professional plumbers and contractors specify for residential basement waterproofing applications where power outage vulnerability creates water damage risk exposure. Venturi-Effect Hydraulic Operation System & Zero-Electricity Municipal Water Pressure Pumping Technology The Liberty SJ10 backup pump system harnesses municipal water supply pressure through an internal venturi-effect ejector jet mechanism that creates powerful vacuum suction capable of removing 2 gallons of basement sump water for every 1 gallon of city water consumed at 5-foot lift conditions. This hydraulic operation principle eliminates all electrical components, motors, battery systems, and power requirements, allowing the SJ10 to function continuously during extended power outage scenarios when primary submersible sump pumps become inoperative due to electricity loss. The ejector assembly within the SJ10 unit forces municipal water through a precision-engineered nozzle restriction that accelerates water velocity while simultaneously reducing internal chamber pressure, generating the low-pressure vacuum zone that pulls basement water upward through the suction line from the sump pit basin. This physics-based pumping mechanism operates at peak efficiency when supplied with minimum 30 PSI municipal water pressure, though the system accepts inlet pressures ranging from 20 PSI up to the maximum 100 PSI threshold, with pumping performance scaling proportionally to available supply pressure. At 30 PSI minimum operational pressure, the SJ10 delivers approximately 990 gallons per hour at 10-foot head height, escalating to 1,185 gallons per hour maximum flow rate when supplied with optimal municipal water pressure conditions. The pump automatically activates through float switch triggering when rising water levels exceed the primary pump's shut-off elevation, requiring no homeowner intervention or manual switching during emergency flooding conditions. SharkBite Push-Fit Inlet Connection & 3/4-Inch NPT Municipal Water Supply Integration Features The Liberty SJ10 arrives factory-equipped with a pre-installed SharkBite push-type connector at the 3/4-inch NPT threaded inlet, accepting PEX tubing conforming to ASTM F876 and CSA B137.5 standards, copper pipe meeting ASTM B88 specifications, or Copper Tube Size CPVC pipe manufactured to ASTM D2846 and CSA B137.6 certifications. This tool-free connection system eliminates the need for soldering, crimping, or threaded assembly procedures, allowing straightforward integration with existing municipal water supply lines during backup pump installation projects. The SharkBite fitting technology utilizes an internal grab ring mechanism that secures tubing or pipe through push-to-connect insertion, requiring only that installers cut supply lines square with clean edges free of burrs or surface scratches within one inch of the connection point. Proper installation demands pushing the tubing firmly until it contacts the internal tube stop, followed by a firm pull test to verify secure seating without requiring the release collar for disconnection. “This thing blew away a Zoeller waterless pump I had installed. Install was relatively straight forward and performance is good. The only downside is the mounting options are not as good given it’s form”
