“Makes better flares. Didn’t have a issue with 1/4” flares as others had mentioned. I use it for duct less, so I need really professional flares. Takes a little skill to set depth.”
“For my 1/4" copper pipe (the smaller diameter liquid line) I had to use a channel lock to tighten it enough to keep the pipe from slipping. I did not have this issue with the larger 1/2" vapor line. Besides having to figure that out (the need to channel-lock tighten the flare tool for the smaller pipe) it worked very well making flares that looked better (clearer and smoother) than the factory flares on the line set.”
