“Installed about a month ago. A friend instaled it fairly quickly. The water comes out very hot but the temp meter reading is 112 instead of 120. That's why only 4 stars. Otherwise perfect...so far.”

“Set the Water heater to 140 and left this unit at 120 degrees. It's a little hot at the tap at that temp, but we never run out of hot water anymore.”

“I used this to extent the life and usability of my hot water heater. I have a very old hot water heater that still works but isn't optimal anymore. I don't want to replace it yet but wanted more hot water. Connected this in about 15-20 minutes and it works wonderfully. Took me a few trys to get the water temp set right but once it's set it holds the temp really well. Well worth the $100 bucks and now no more scalding water at any of my taps.”

“JUST RECEIVED ITEM AND IT LOOKS LIKE IT WAS PREVIOUSLY RETURNED, THE BOX WAS LOOSELY TAPED WITH ONE PIECE OF TAPE. THERE WERE SMUDGES (LOOKED LIKE FINGER PRINTS) ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE BOX AND ON THE INSTRUCTION PAMPHLET. AFTER OPENING THE BOX I INSPECTED THE PARTS AND CHECKED THREAD FIT (LOOSELY) WITH THE INCLUDED CORRUGATED HOSE AND OTHER SHARKBITE HOSES I WILL BE USING FOR THE INSTALL.A CLOSE INSPECTION OF THE VARIOUS PARTS SHOWED A NUMBER OF 'NICKS' IN THE THREADS ON THE ENDS OF SOME OF THE THREADED PARTS. I ALSO NOTED SEVERAL MACHINE FILINGS IN THREAD GROOVES, WHICH I REMOVED WITH A STIFF BRUSH.MANUFACTURER SHOULD REEVALUATE PRODUCT 'FINISH' AND PACKAGING PROCEDURES.PLAN TO INSTALL IN THE UPCOMING WEEK AND WILL NOT HESITATE TO RETURN PRODUCT IF THERE IS THE SLIGHTEST LEAK AT ANY CONNECTION. IF LEAKS OCCUR, ANY ASSOCIATED DAMAGE FROM THE LEAK MAY RESULT IN FURTHER CONTACT WITH SELLER AND MANUFACTURER.WILL REEVALUATE AFTER INSTALLATION”

“Installed this device yesterday because we only have a 50 gallon tank for 5 people in our house. We did not have enough hot water to take more than 2 showers every 3-4 hours. Today was the first use we actually got out of this device and we took 4 showers, washed 1 load of clothes and a dishwasher run all before 9 AM and still had hot water. Product does work. I am not certain if this is going to increase my electric bill, but I will keep an eye on it. I have a heat pump hot water heater so I can leave it at efficient running and we seemed to have gotten through the entire day without issue. I am very impressed so far.”

“I thought the installation instructions were easy to follow and the unit works awesome! Finally! Hot water again! I love the outlet themometer - out of the box it provides 118 degree water to my faucets, no adjustments made. The outlet thermometer reads 120ish and the water at the tap is very close to that. I replaced a honeywell that was only 2 years old with this and couldn't be happier. Imagine that the honeywell (sold for 160.00!) only lasted 2 years!Installation took roughly 30 minutes including draining 10 gallons from the tank, taking off the old one and installing the new. BE SURE TO ORDER SOME SHARKBITE FITTINGS (it'll make installation simple)!”

“I am a homeowner, not a plumber and the unit was pretty straightforward to install., although the pictures in the manual were dark and hard to see. I installed the whole unit within an hour, then spent some time testing and adjusting the temperature.We have a 50 gallon water heater now set to 160 degrees. While the unit says it can output 120 degree water, the warmest water I can get (according to the gauge and temperature of water at the faucet) is 110 degrees, which is plenty warm for showering/bathing, but would like it warmer for dishes. To test how long hot water will last I took a 30min very hot shower and never had to adjust the temperature the whole time. Seems to increase the amount of hot water we have available.The package was missing a 3/4 rubber washer though and I do not know where to get a replacement as my local plumbing store says the part is specific to this unit.”

“Easy to install, with good directions. Temperature was very accurate and didn't require adjustment. Conveniently allows you to make more hot water without increasing risk of scalding at the faucet (with young kids around).”
