“I installed this pump per the instructions and found it didn't have enough suction lift. My city water supply is about 60psi. I ran 20' of 3/4" pex off of the main line entering house. Used 3/4" sharkbite backflow preventer and 500 micron sediment filter (.020") as mentioned in the instructions. Initially I installed the eductor in the rafters and found it couldn't lift water the 10ft height. Had to change the piping around and mount the pump down near the sump so that the suction distance is only a couple feet. Works now, but disappointed it didn't work the first time.”
“great product, but creates a strong hummer effect. beware: wastes a lot of water. but overall a great back-up solution, for those who don't want to be bothered with batteries for backup pumps.”
“This pump is awesome. It was easy to install, pumps out the water great. The float mechanism works great. I can now be worry free if I were ever to lose power again. I bought this to replace a liberty SJ-10 that failed, and I am very happy with my purchase”
“First off the one I was sent was definitely used. Two of the O-rings were broke and a silicon/caulk was put in place of where they would go, this messes with the functionality of the unit and dictates how you would install it. In my case I was able to remedy this on my own, but for as much as this costs it shouldn't have even been an issue. Second, there is no built-in backflow/backsiphonage prevention so you will need to purchase a dual check valve with an atmospheric vent since this will be connected directly to your potable water supply.THAT BEING SAID....It works great and offers piece of mind when we are on vacations or not at home when the power goes out or even if the main sump pump gets clogged up a bit.”
