I had one of these installed in my basement 9 years ago. I finally got restful sleep on rainy nights after that. Finally had to get a new one, and got the same model.

This pump is mostly good. It pumps well, at the rated speed, and is quiet. My main complaint is that the float activation distance is almost 1" short of the specified distance.

I replaced a 20-year-old M53 with the same unit. The switch finally gave out after 20 years.

30 inches of rain in the past 5 weeks in N. Calif. and still raining - Saved us several times this winter.

Only had it for a month, working great.

Replaced a 16-year-old Zoeller with the M53. Very heavy duty and the poly resin base does not hinder its durability.

Fast delivery, easy install. Works fine, but the power cords were shorter than the pumps I replaced.

Got my new pump and it seemed to work well for about two months. Out of nowhere, it stopped working and my basement flooded. It did start back up after wiggling it.
