The plumber told me I needed a new toilet installed, because 'they don't make toilets like they used to.' I put these in myself. Two years later, toilet still working.

I should have purchased this one first…..after buying three other off brand flush valves and frustration, this one fixed the problem. Easy to install

It was very difficult to flush the toilet. Required a lot of force. Replaced old one w/ this one and now it's as good as new. There are lots of videos on youtube on how to replace this. I think old valve just got too soft and formed too strong a suction w/ the mansfield pull up flush valve.

OEM replacement. Works perfectly. Make sure to get all of the old gasket out of the groove. I had to use a blade to get the old disintegrated gasket out.

Usually brand doesn’t matter but if you don’t want to redo the job, buy brand. Generic is too thin and your toilet will run.

I didn't think of this being a leak until after awhile of noticing that the toilet "ran on"...It was a wider and slightly thicker seal than the eroded one it replaced. Problem solved!
