1/2" Bronze Water Pressure Regulator Reviews

4.9 Rating 22 Reviews
Exact replacement for my failing part. Replacement took less than 30 min with the proper tools. Let boiler cool or turn off isolation valves before replacement, otherwise you’re dealing with extremely hot water on the output side of this unit. PSI now reads exactly where it’s supposed to be.

Spend more and get a brass bodied pressure relief valve. The steel bodied valves are cheaper but they rust up internally and clog the filter screen so they need to be replaced more often.

Had an issue with water leaking from my boiler. The old part was filled with rust which caused high pressure.

It is exactly what it claims to be. The bass/bronze body is what I wanted vs the iron ones at my local "Home Center." Fast, easy install. The pressure claims to be factory set at 15psi, which I think was close, however I run a cold start so after multiple hot/cold cycles my hot temp is closer to 20psi. Not that this is problem with the valve, but if you want to maintain lower pressures you may need to set it 20% to compensate for the temp swings.

Perfect replacement to replace my defective part, and a fraction of what a plumber would have charged.

This valve is simple to use and provides consistent water pressure in our boilers. The flip lever is great for purging or adding water.
