The Saniflo 002 SaniPLUS macerator pump represents a breakthrough solution for installing complete bathroom facilities up to 15 feet below existing sewer lines or 150 feet horizontally from soil stacks. This MPN 002 system transforms impossible bathroom locations into functional reality through its integrated maceration chamber, cutting blades, and pressure-assisted discharge capabilities. The 1/2 horsepower pump motor delivers consistent 17 gallons per minute discharge rate at 15-foot vertical lift, while its compact 20-inch width x 10-5/8-inch height x 7-inch depth housing fits seamlessly behind Saniflo rear-discharge toilets. Unlike gravity-dependent drainage systems, this unit's 3600 RPM stainless steel macerator blades reduce human waste and toilet paper into fine slurry within its pressure chamber before the impeller assembly pumps the effluent through 3/4-inch or 1-inch discharge lines. The SaniPLUS handles blackwater from toilets plus greywater from sinks, bathtubs, and showers simultaneously through its dual 2-inch side inlet ports. Oil-Sealed Motor Technology & Hardened Stainless Steel Cutting Mechanism for Model 002 The Saniflo 002's motor sits permanently sealed within an oil-filled enclosure, eliminating lifetime maintenance requirements for internal lubrication. This sealed design protects the 4.5-amp, 115-volt motor from moisture infiltration while maintaining optimal operating temperatures during extended pump cycles. The common spindle shaft directly connects the motor to both the impeller assembly and the maceration chamber's cutting blades, minimizing moving parts to just this single rotating element. When wastewater enters the pressure chamber, it activates a membrane microswitch that energizes the motor within milliseconds, initiating the 3600 RPM blade rotation that characterizes this model's grinding mechanism. The hardened stainless steel macerator blades in the 002 unit never require sharpening or replacement throughout the pump's operational lifespan. These blades employ a scissor-like cutting action rather than the blunt-force grinding found in sewage ejector alternatives. As organic matter enters the maceration chamber through the 2-inch toilet inlet, centrifugal force from the 3600 RPM rotation drives waste against the blade edges, reducing solids to particles small enough to pass through the discharge grill. This refined slurry then moves into the lower impeller compartment where the vortex impeller generates sufficient pressure to achieve 30-foot maximum vertical discharge head. Dual 2-Inch Inlet Ports with Integrated Check Valves for Greywater Collection The SaniPLUS 002 incorporates two separate 2-inch side inlets positioned on opposite sides of the housing for connecting multiple fixtures. Each inlet features a built-in check valve that prevents backflow from the maceration chamber into connected fixtures during pump operation. These inlet ports accept standard P-trap connections from bathroom sinks, shower bases, and bathtub drains, allowing the single macerator unit to serve as the drainage hub for an entire bathroom installation. The right-side inlet typically connects to vanity sink drains, while the left-side inlet accommodates shower or bathtub discharge, though either inlet functions identically for maximum installation flexibility. Shower and bathtub connections to the 002 model require elevated base construction to ensure proper drainage slope toward the pump unit. The shower base must sit minimum 6 inches above floor level, though 8-inch elevation using 2x8 lumber provides recommended drainage slope for reliable operation. This elevation allows the required 1/4-inch per foot gravity flow from the P-trap to the macerator inlet, ensuring wastewater reaches the maceration chamber without pooling in drain lines. The P-trap installation between each fixture and the pump remains mandatory per plumbing code compliance, despite the macerator's internal check valves providing secondary backflow prevention. 360-Degree Rotatable Discharge Elbow with Non-Return Valve Assembly The discharge assembly on the Saniflo 002 features a 360-degree rotatable elbow that accommodates pipe routing in any direction. This flexibility allows installers to direct the discharge line left, right, rearward, or any angle between without requiring

“We bought another system and it went up right after I typed a review. This one seems to be doing fine.”

“We purchased this system 5 years ago when we were building an in-law area in our basement and I researched every possible unit I could and settled on the SANIPLUS Saniflo. It was easy to install (make sure you know what you are doing and read ALL directions) and it worked great. We had the unit hooked up to a kitchen sink, bathroom sink, bathroom shower and toilet. It worked like a charm, even though my MIL isn't exactly the easiest on things and may put things down her kitchen sink she isn't supposed to, but the system handled it all. It was in constant, every day use. After 5 years, we needed to replace just the macerator unit, so I checked online and every place sells them for about the same price, with the exception that plumbingsupplyandmore had a "Like New" model for $100 cheaper. We purchased it and everything was perfect. It came with all parts and all directions and all accessories for mounting it.We got the deal we needed to replace this at the perfect time. This is a workhorse of a unit and trust me, from someone who has had it for 5 years, it DOES WORK!”

“So far, so good. It has not been installed for awhile yet, only a couple of weeks. So, at the moment, very satisfied.”
