“Prior to application, the backlit film image I received was noticeably darker than the original scanned image. When I contacted customer service, they provided a prompt, detailed response on how making it darker was necessary to prevent it from looking "washed out" when being backlit. They couldn't have been more right in the picture, the original image (printed on cardboard) is on the left and the backlit film with light source is on the right. The image comes to life and is a lot more vibrant in backlit form. The only tricky part for me was mounting it to the clear acrylic I used. The vinyl film is thin and adhesive fairly strong I recommend removing the film's backing gradually with a straight edge such as a ruler when applying. Otherwise you'll be dealing with a lot of air bubbles.”
