Really nice shelf, lovely design, good solid quality and the hooks really useful as we skipped getting a wardrobe (using drawers) to make most of nursery space

The shelf itself is lovely - exactly what I was looking for and I'm very happy with the build quality. Unfortunately, the retailer who sold this to me had placed a large sticker right on the front advertising their company name and telling me to never leave my child unattended (kind of a strange request to put on a shelf!). This sticker was ridiculously hard to remove, leaving a thick sticky residue behind which was awful looking. After much soaking in hot water, I had no choice but to use white spirit and hope it wouldn't permanently damage the wood. Fortunately it didn't, but there's still some slight sticky residue left which is noticeable in some angles/lights. Honestly, what a stupid thing to do to such a nice product! Why it couldn't it have been placed on the back of the shelf which goes against the wall or on the packaging it came in? I hope the company which sold this shelf rethinks where they stick their branding and advice labelling in the future, but this doesn't fix the state which my shelf was left in.
